Using the App isn't necessary to operate the brewer, but we do recommend it as it provides additional features and functionality. That includes remote brewing (including pre-scheduling brews up to 36 hours in advance), ordering B-Pods®, viewing a personal consumption dashboard and brewing history. The App also will provide brewer notifications, such as descaling alerts and help troubleshoot any brewer errors.
